Angela De Claro headshot.png

Angela De Claro is a businesswoman and journalist who gets excited about inspiring the next generation of change-makers through storytelling.

Being a woman in tech, it was not unusual to be one of the few, if not the only, women of color in the room. Recognizing a gap in conversations, resources, and a community for female women of color in the workforce, Angela is returning to her journalism roots. She is committed to creating space and sharing the untold stories of the many change-making women she’s met along the way.

Early in her career, Angela worked as a freelance journalist and editor at several Bay Area publications, which led her to meet tech entrepreneurs, launching her career into the technology start-up industry. She has spent the past eight years as a Marketing and Sales Director. In 2014, she was part of a team that led a talent acquisition SaaS company to a successful IPO, and onto the S&P/ASX 300. Angela  has also served as a Mentor and the Chapter Leader for Levo League, an international women’s business network, for several years where she hosted monthly career-focused events for its 2,000+ Bay Area membership base.

Outside of work and in the pre-Covid world, you could find Angela dancing hula with her hula halau, the Academy of Hawaiian Arts. Now, you can find her sheltering-in-place at home, dreaming of which destination she will travel to as soon as the world opens up again.
